Kasia

My journey with Ayahuasca began in April of 2016 with the Arizona Yage Assembly where I was offered co-facilitation opportunities. Over the next year they taught me how to brew, how to properly perform the dieta, screening protocols, and ultimately, how to lead circles. Following my time training with the church I embarked upon a 2 year adventure of the “journeywoman ayahuasca.” I traveled throughout the US and Mexico with a medicine partner from the church serving medicine to eager seekers and at Ibogaine and other plant medicine treatment centers like the Ibogaine Institute before parting ways and embarking on our personal journey of service.

In 2018 I added another tool to my collection after I traveled to Peru to study the practice of Kambo (frog venom) medicine. In 2019, I became certified in the Nada protocol as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist. An ear acupressure and acupuncture intervention for trauma, substance misuse, abuse, dependence and related behavioral and mental health conditions.

My facilitation style is pretty much hands off during the actual ceremony which allows the participants to safely and securely (and privately) navigate their own inner spaces. I instead put focus on preparation and integration, providing a few fundamental tools to help them navigate the medicine space, and a warm, loving set and setting.

A mix of experience, intuition and the voice of the medicine guide me every step of the way. If someone has a difficult moment, I’m there to help guide you through it, should you need that.

As far as the practical application of indigenous plant medicine goes, although I have studied Ayahuasca, I am not a traditionalist, and I am not a “Shaman.” Technically I am an Ayahuascera, because I serve the medicine, but I consider myself a modern synthesizer of ancient and contemporary modalities of healing.

I am not “Your Healer,” I am your guide. Ayahuasca is your healer. She knows exactly where to go and what to bring forward for you to work on. Yes, sometimes awful, traumatic things come up, but when they do, you are never alone, and the process is safe. She is right there with you, and so am I. Through me, I will teach you to reach out to her, to interact with her, to ask her for clarity, courage, strength, and love.
